Building Expert Advisors for Metatrader 4
Traders with some experience are aware of the importance of including systematic methods to take advantage of markets. A systematic approach involves conceptualizing, defining, writing and testing rules for entering and exiting trades, then consistently trading by those rules going forward. This approach is structured after understanding that varying discretion or emotion eventually affects their trading performance, and that discipline and acute precision in decision making and execution is necessary to accomplish consistent profits systematically.

This approach is structured after understanding that varying discretion or emotion eventually affects their trading performance, and that discipline and acute precision in decision making and execution is necessary to accomplish consistent profits systematically.
As traders become systematic, they write rules that are robust enough to accommodate unseen market scenarios. The building of such trading rules requires statistical verification and understanding of the market logic behind the action taken in the specific market. By measuring system performance, risk can be determined.
In the other hand, Trading with a system implies one will always take the same actions under the same circumstances, which requires the risk tolerance that allows withstanding the risk exposure of the system. Once emotion is controlled, experts say, consistency can follow.
The coding of custom Indicators and Expert Advisors is a step forward for some traders, who are willing to use those rules in an automated environment. That is not to say an Expert Advisor won’t generate lots of emotions from the trader who executes it. Losing trades from an EA are also difficult to swallow, but the immediate emotional reactivity of discretionary trading is eliminated.
An Expert Advisor will also, by construction, follow obediently the established rules for risk management and limiting loss, rules that can be difficult to adhere to when trading by discretion.
To take advantage of the consistency and emotional control that Expert Advisors offer, then you have at least two choices: You can develop your own Expert Advisor or you can buy one from a third-party developer.
The most important reason to build your own expert advisor is you will have full knowledge of when, why and how it trades. Also, by developing an EA yourself, you have complete control over the parameters of the system, such as the markets traded, time horizon, risk capital required, trading frequency and maximum drawdown to name a few. For instance:
* You can historically test performance under different market conditions.
* You know that there is no vagueness or fuzziness in your trading rules.
* With full knowledge of the Expert Advisor’s rules and trading tendencies
* You will have the confidence to trade through the inevitable losing periods.
* Having built your own trading system, you also are more adept at modifying it when market conditions change.
When a trader builds his own Expert Advisor, he knows why it performs as it does and can make adjustments.
Of course, building an Expert Advisor has its drawbacks as well. First, it’s not necessarily easy and can be mentally draining, often with little or no payback. Also, if you are going to build your own Expert Advisor, you do need some knowledge of how the markets work, and that takes time to learn as well.
An Expert Advisor you build will be limited to your own trading knowledge. For beginners, this could be a significant, binding constraint. A successful Expert Advisor will likely need to have an edge over other competing systems. If you don’t believe that you can provide any edge, then it may be better to consider purchasing an EA.
Systems development can be very time consuming, making use of Metatrader 4, can take a level of technical background that the average trader does not have. Outsourcing MT4 development services, to program technical indicators or expert advisors is always a reasonable alternative. It is important to demand open source code and copy rights disclosure from your programming vendor.
Whether you have the discipline to stick to a defined set of rules is an important consideration if you are going to trade systematically, whether you buy or build. Expert Advisors require following all rules religiously. Successful system traders avoid the temptation of bypassing the rules, whether that comes in the form of holding a loser too long or being too quick to take profits. The beauty of trading systematically is that you have made those exit decisions beforehand based on strong research and statistical evidence, not in the heat of a fast market.
The Expert Advisor developer should have good experience actually trading his or her target markets. The developer needs to have a good background in technical analysis, and this includes knowing what technical methods have been tried in the past so that previous systems are not simply recreated If you just make it up as you go along, then you’re going to lose money competing against traders who have a complete, tested, and positive expectation trading method. If you can’t or don’t want to put the effort in to design, develop, and test your own Expert Advisor, then you can’t expect to be successful.

The Best Way to Make Money Online
There is no doubt that there is money to be made from working online whether it is a full time job or something that you do in your spare time. However, what would be the best ways to make money for one person may not suit another person at all. This is because the money making ideas you come up with must suit your interests and personality. If not it will not pan out because you won’t enjoy the work.
Finding out how to make money at home starts with making a list of topics that you are interested in. If you have training in a specialized field, then you can really make a lot of money online because just as there is a need for your services offline, there is perhaps an increased need online because you can have clients from all over the world. If you have experience in the medical field, for example, you can create a website in which you provide essential information for people about various diseases and illnesses.
By adding Google Adsense to the pages of the site, you can make money from the ads. In order to make any amount of money from this program though you need to use keywords that pay a substantial amount per click and are ones that will receive a lot of traffic. This is what you have to look for when you intend to use the Adsense program to generate an income. The number of searchers must far outnumber the number of sites offering the information in order to earn money from your site.
Selling online is one of the best ways to make money online because it is basically the fastest way. If you have anything around the home that you no longer need, you can easily advertise it online and if the price is right it will sell very quickly. Many people make a business of this that they run from their homes. It doesn’t have to replace your regular job because you only have to check your emails or return phone calls to complete the transactions.
You don’t need to have any amount of prior sales experience to do well in this area as one of the ways to make money from home. Once you get a feel for what people want to buy you can look for the items at sales events and garage sales. In this way you will be providing a service for others and make money at the same time.
There are many ways of selling items online even if you don’t have any items of your own to sell. Dropshipping is big business. In this work you simply create a website around a product line and write content that promotes the items. When you receive an order for the product, all you have to do is resend the order to a warehouse that will ship it directly to the customer. You collect the payment from the customer, deduct your profit and remit payment to the company. All the shipping and handling is then done by the warehouse so you don’t have any extra work to do.
Those are just some of the best ways to make money online. There are many more ways you can do it, so do some research and find the one that is the best for you. After you have some experience you can always branch out into other methods.

Learn how to make money from home
Welcome to Time To Make Money From Home. The main purpose of this site is for me to document the things that I have learned about Internet Marketing on my journey to being free. Everybody’s idea of freedom is different, but for me it means the ability to live comfortably, provide food, clothing and shelter to my family, and not have to answer to anyone else. It also means not travelling to work every day, and being fully responsible for my own income, rather than someone else dictating my worth.
Everything I have learned, and everything that I talk about on this site, has all been learned from one place – The Keyword Academy. This is a community of budding Internet Marketers that all share a similar goal of freedom, and are all using Internet Marketing to reach that goal. The site is run by Courtney Tuttle, a well known and well respected figure in the Internet Marketing community, and also has members like Grizz, who is famous for turning a Blogger blog into a money making machine that earns him thousands every month.
The Keyword Academy is first and foremost a learning tool. Courtney has set up a series of video tutorials that takes you step by step through every facet of Internet Marketing. It’s as easy as following the bouncing ball. His no nonsense, step by step approach, means that anyone can succeed in this business, with no prior knowledge of the business needed. By signing up to the Academy, you receive instant access to all these videos.
The videos aren’t the only reason to sign up though. Membership includes full access to a private forum packed full of like minded people, from complete newbies to seasoned travelers willing to give amazing advice to members. If you have any prior experience with Internet Marketing forums, you will know that the majority of them are full of spam and very little help to anyone. The Keyword Academy forums are nothing like this, they are full of people who are serious about succeeding, and happy to help others. The forums themselves are designed to highlight members that are succeeding, so you can be sure that the advice that is given is coming from someone who knows what they are talking about.
There are many other reasons to join up, including access to a tool recently purchased by the Academy called “Connect Content”, which takes all of the hard work out of finding people within your chosen niche to network and trade links with. This tool on its own is worth the price of admission. Access to the Academy costs $1 for the first month. That $1 gives you complete access to everything for 4 whole weeks. If you decide that you don’t want to continue your membership after that month, all you have to do is log into your Paypal account and cancel your membership. There are no hidden tricks. If you do decide to continue your membership, the price is $33 a month.
I will be talking a lot about the Academy and it’s methods on this site, but no amount of rambling from me will replace the benefit you gain from signing up. For $1, you would be mad not to.

Android: The Hottest Technology Of 2011
Many people within the IT industry almost unanimously agree that mobile technology will reach unprecedented levels of development this year. Of these people, many are particularly focused on Android, believing it to be the hottest technology of 2011.
“Android has democratized smart phones in much the way Windows democratized PCs in the 90’s. It’s already outselling iPhones by a wide margin and that will continue to increase,” comments Matthew Maroon, founder and CEO of Blue Frog Gaming Inc.
Part of the reason Android is growing so significantly is the technology it has led to and is connected to.
Tim Masterson, Director of Engineering at Total Integrated Mobile, believes “this year will see a big growth in interest around the Android operating system and the SDK (Software Development Kit)…Technologies that unify mobile programming like Ansca Corona, [which] make it possible for code base to support both iOS and Android, will also grow in popularity this year.”
Chris Longley of Kent Web Design also agrees that technology used as an extension of mobile technology will be hot this year, particularly Near Field Communication (NFC). NFC is similar to Bluetooth, as a short range communication technology integrated into mobile devices. Longley believes the benefits of NFC are significant, including “mobile electronic ticketing services, mobile eCommerce, and identity confirmation purposes.” Longley also expects that “companies will eventually incorporate NFC into entrance security systems.”
Mark Bundschu of enLocal believes that Android “is going to take over the world over the next two years.” He explains that Android’s “opportunities are endless,” providing examples such as car manufacturers integrating Android with GPS systems in order to track the car in the event it is stolen.
Bundschu also agrees with the now-popular notion that “everything in the home could be controlled from your mobile phone.” Additionally, Bundschu even goes so far as to say that Android-related devices “could be sewn into children’s clothes to identify where they are.”
The level to which Android and other mobile technologies will develop certainly seems limitless.
Matthew Maroon says the only problem for Android is that “it’s struggled so far with independent monetization…Despite having more users than iOS, [the Android market] has only a tiny fraction of the revenues.” But he believes this will soon change. “They have a lot of low-hanging fruit and I think this year they’ll pick much of it.”
Clearly there’s a lot of buzz surrounding Android and mobile technology in general. It will be interesting to see what develops from these technologies over the course of 2011.
What’s your take on it? Do you agree that Android will be the hottest technology of 2011?

How To Change Your Life For The Better
Unless you are in the depths of depression you probability sometimes wonder about changing your life in certain ways. Wanting and doing are very different concepts. Here are some ideas about helping you move from wanting to make those changes to evaluating their probable effects and then actually making them.
How to Change Your Life, Idea #1: Set a goal, perhaps two or three. Then, in some detail, write out how (not why) you believe reaching each goal will make life better for you and those around you in the long term. (This change will improve my life by ____ .) Decide if those are good enough reasons to begin working toward the goal.
How to Change Your Life, Idea #2: List the traits you possess that will assist you to reach each goal. Also, list those traits you will need that you don't yet possess. Determine how (if) you can acquire them. Having or acquiring the necessary characteristics is the essential second step.
How to Change Your Life, Idea #3: To reach a goal there are always small steps to accomplish in a given sequence. List those steps. Decide exactly how you will go about achieving each one. Is additional training necessary? Must you some how carve time out of your busy schedule? Where? Are there contacts you need to make? Will you need to earn or set aside money or obtain a scholarship to pay for something?
How to Change Your Life, Idea #4: Write out specifically how you will know when you have achieved each of the mini-steps along the way as well as how you will know when you have reached the larger goal. It usually takes this form: “(Such and such) will happen.”
How to Change Your Life, Idea #5: Look ahead and determine (honestly) how your achieving that goal will effect others. We typically need to set goals that help everyone who is involved or touched by the event. If your goal cannot be reached without hurting somebody else, either rethink the whole idea or plan ways to minimize or offset any such harm or discomfort.
In thinking about how to change your life for the better, mentally add up the costs. What will the cost be to the quality of your family life? What will the cost be to your over-all financial condition and will you realistically be able to recover? What will the costs be to your health? What will the cost be to your values and integrity?
Perhaps the bottom line when considering how to change your life for the better is the definition you give to to the concept 'better'. Better in what ways? Better than what (the present)? Better at what risk or loss or gain? Often the question should not be how to change your life but how to think more positively and realistically about the life you have. Often a few rather small changes or some reorganization can cast an entirely new and positive perspective on what you have; maybe not, but certainly consider that first.
It may be of great value to talk with a professional counselor or work through a self-help or self-evaluation program of some kind. Make sure your 'head' is in the right place before you begin such a huge task as changing your life in any major way.

Lose Weight Naturally
There are many myths surrounding weight loss and how to lose weight naturally and I hear the question many times on how to get motivated to lose weight. This is where I believe we need to go back to basics.
Why obesity is increasing
Every supermarket is stocked full of food items that claim to be diet foods or low calorie or low in fat, however those food items were not available many years ago. People ate normally. The staple diet was bread, butter, jam, meat and potatoes and yet these are food items we are told quite often not to eat as they will turn us into obese people or at the least overweight. It is kind of strange that all the so called good food that is readily available and consumed daily is not decreasing the obesity levels in fact they are rising at an alarming rate.
Tips for losing weight – Don’t eat artificial
Many people that believe they are on the best weight loss diet and eating the low calorie or low fat foods on a regular basis but they are still not losing weight. I think the factor is that many people obsess over their weight and believe that the best foods for weight loss are these items packaged as diet food. If you stop and think about it for a moment, generally these so called diet foods are stuffed full of artificial ingredients to make them taste better. It is not good or beneficial to be putting anything artificial in your body. Your body what not intended for artificial ingredients.
Best foods for weight loss - Basics
Our diets have definitely evolved over the last hundred years and the fact is that food is in abundance and wealth generally allows us to afford luxuries. I believe that if we went back to the diets of old and stuck to the staple foods that were only available at that time, I believe we would have far less weight problems. Supermarkets fill their shelves with these staple food items; however people tend to reach for the easier option or the low fat option.
If you want to know how to lose weight naturally, take a look at what food items were consumed years ago. Forget the take outs, the micro meals and get back to good old fashioned food. Yes that even includes butter not the low fat alternatives that are now available. The problem is the low fat alternatives are generally filled with substitutes to make them taste like the real thing; however these substitutes are generally made up of artificial ingredients, which are not good for you or your body.
I think when you start to look at food normally and not look at everything as extra weight then you will start to lose weight naturally and when this is the case you will know how to get motivated to lose weight by following the example set by your predecessors.
